Project Power Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

2. Courtney B. Vance Is Totally Wasted

If Rodrigo Santoro and Amy Landecker are criminally wasted as the film's villains, they're got nothing on poor Courtney B. Vance.

The Tony and Emmy-award winning actor shows up for just a few minutes of screen time as Frank's boss Captain Crane, who is frustrated at Frank for taking Power pills to level the playing field between himself and the criminals he's chasing.

Sadly Vance is given absolutely nothing to do here and so fades into the background the moment he disappears from the screen. Was there really nothing more to offer an actor of his caliber?

Between this and his nothing appearance in 2017's The Mummy reboot, it seems like Hollywood has a bizarre habit of hiring him and then doing little of merit with him.

At least he hopefully got a nice payday out of it, right?
