This theory, as proposed by fans and actress Noomi Rapace alike, envisions Prometheus 2 as something akin to The Matrix Reloaded - a follow-up that sees Dr. Elizabeth Shaw visiting the Engineers homeworld only to come to face to face with something God-like - or perhaps even God himself - who, in turn, is commanding or leading the Engineers to do his bidding. And most folk seem to think that God's "agenda" will be a plainly terrifying one. This could potentially make for a movie that is either mind-blowing in scale, scope and complexity, or one that is like the first Prometheus - that is, a motion picture with none of those things to its name, filled to the brim with vague plot points and ambiguous twists. "She wants answers," said Noomi Rapace when discussing what she thought would happen in the sequel, essentially summing up every criticism faced by the original Prometheus upon its release. No sh*t, Noomi. Still, the idea of Shaw coming face to face with the ultimate creator of everything is an inherently exciting one that could offer up some truly unique possibilities in the absence of a Xenomorph. What, really, is scarier than God? Like this article? Got any other theories to add to this list? What do you think will happen in Prometheus 2?
