3. The Avengers
Every comic book fan in their right mind wanted this; Marvel listened and then delivered thanks to the often genius Joss Whedon and years of planning on the studios behalf. Marvel now reap the rewards becoming the third highest grossing film of all time. And in most parts it lives up to its name, the assembling of the superheroes is well handled, their chemistry is electric. Geeky jokes work wonderfully, Mark Ruffalos Hulk is obviously stupendous and the action is in most parts entertaining. My only quarrel would be the final act which goes on a little too long in my eyes but for a non-comic fan this was thoroughly enjoyable. Here's a hoping they get Edgar Wright's Ant-Man up and running in time for the sequel.
