1. The First Movie Is MUCH Better

In pretty much every single aspect - save perhaps for the quality of the animation - this is a step down from the original Wreck-It Ralph.

In the 2012 film, the characters are better defined with more compelling motivations and problems, the product placement feels better-integrated into the plot on the movie, and it generally has a far smoother handle on its own internal logic.

In attempting to be a more ambitious sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet perhaps ended up flying too close to the sun, because with some six years in development, it's baffling that the end result is merely "OK" compared to the fresh brilliance of its predecessor.

So, Wreck-It Ralph 2 is a bit of a disappointment, then, but again, it's not a bad film by any means. Temper your expectations and there's a solid amount to enjoy...
