5. Abomination (The Incredible Hulk)
Marvel StudiosTim Roth's Emil Blonsky is the rare antagonist that is a badass before he became a "supervillain" as well as after (although he was kind of a dick even before his transformation into Abomination). After chasing Bruce Banner through a Brazilian favela and being defeated by the Hulk, Blonsky is injected with the Super Soldier Serum and pretty much becomes Captain America, making him much more formidable (although still not a match for the Hulk, as evidenced by when the Hulk beats him within an inch of his life). Later on in the film, Blonsky is given an injection of the Hulk's blood, which combines with the Super Soldier Serum and makes him into the Abomination, a creature as strong as Hulk but with Blonsky's brain functions intact. Abomination and Hulk then have an all-out brawl that ends in the destruction of Harlem and Abomination's defeat at Hulk's hands. Hulk then escapes the scene and ends the movie in isolation in Canada. Abomination makes it into the top half of this list due to Tim Roth's chilling performance and Abomination's physical threat as the strongest villain on this list. The scene in which the military ambushes Hulk at a university and Blonsky shows off his newfound strength and agility is the character's highlight scene, and against any human (perhaps even Captain America himself), Blonsky would win a fight. For these reasons, Abomination makes it to the #5 spot.
