Ranking 10 Most Exciting Upcoming Star Wars Performances
7. Adam Driver – Kylo Ren
As the Star Wars franchise’s newest villain, we’ve got high hopes
for Adam Driver’s performance as Kylo Ren in The Last Jedi. Last seen in The
Force Awakens committing patricide, trying to off Finn and Rey and receiving a
rather mean-looking scar from Rey’s lightsaber, it’s likely that if he was that
evil in the first film that the villainy ante will be upped even more in The
Last Jedi.
We also know from The Force Awakens that Kylo Ren is a very conflicted character torn between the dark side and the light and while stabbing his dad through the chest with a lightsaber is unforgivable, it was clear in Han Solo’s death scene that the act anguished his son.
Looks like Driver is taking his role very seriously too: he avoided co-star Mark Hamill on the set an even turned down the offer of a lunch date with the actor in order to properly portray the sense of estrangement between Kylo Ren and his uncle Luke Skywalker.
