Ranking Aaron Sorkin Films From Worst To Best

4. Steve Jobs

Mollys Game
Universal Pictures

A surprisingly unconventional film about the co-founder of Apple. Steve Jobs takes place at three key moments in the tycoon's life situated around iconic Apple product launches over 14 years. It is a curious way to tell the story but it works incredibly well with the film feeling unique yet surprisingly organic.

Jobs is played by a brilliant Michael Fassbender who gets the overwhelming majority of Sorkin's dialogue to sift through and does so with exceptional commitment. The film is heavy on conversation but with dialogue as good as this, it is amazing to watch Fassbender go through several intense arguments and disputes with the likes of Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels and Seth Rogan.

A rather underrated film in Sorkin's filmography, likely due to the small scale nature of the drama, Steve Jobs is an examination of a complicated man with rewarding dialogue and a structure that shouldn't work nearly as well as it does.
