Ranking All Of Sean Bean's Movie Deaths From Lamest To Best

1. The Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring - Shot Three Times By Uruk-Hai

We've been on a journey going through Sean Bean's many on-screen deaths but, I think most would agree, this deserves the number one spot. Is it as funny as being chased off a cliff by cows? No. Is it as brutal as being shot in the neck? Probably not. Is it one of the most heroic deaths in the history of cinema? I am struggling to think of one better!

Whilst protecting Merry and Pippin from an onslaught of Uruk-Hais, Boromir singlehandedly slices and dices through a whole battalion to ensure the Hobbits have enough time to find safety. Despite his heroics, a cowardly Uruk-Hai, marked with the White Hand of Saruman, impales Boromir with 3 arrows from a distance. What makes this death even more badass is that even with three arrows sticking out of his chest, it didn't stop him from making mincemeat out of orc hide.

When Aragorn and Legolas finally show up, Boromir is taking his last breaths and he uses them to not only ask for forgiveness for trying to take the Ring but acknowledges Aragorn as the true king. Tears.

Ouchie Scale: 9/10 (3 per arrow)

Fear: 5/10 (he takes them like a champ)

Bravery: 10/10

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
