Ranking All Of Sean Bean's Movie Deaths From Lamest To Best

16. Airborne - Shot From A Distance

If you haven't heard of the 1998 spy film Airborne, do not worry, you most certainly aren't missing much. However, if you want to see the exact moment Steve Guttenberg's career went down the pan, then feel free to give it a watch.

The plot is admittedly quite good, but don't be fooled into watching it. The movie is about a special operatives team tasked with retrieving a genetically engineered virus called Mach 1 which has been stolen by a gang of thieves.

After successfully retrieving the virus, the gang share a few laughs in an airport hangar until an assassin dressed in a grey suit and sunglasses decides to spoil the fun. He takes aim and fires into the group hitting Sean Bean who collapses like a sack of potatoes (1:53 in the video above).

This death is an interesting one because it's difficult to decide what's funnier: The gunman himself, Guttenberg's reaction to the shot, or the fact that Sean Bean looks directly at the shooter pointing the gun at him and he doesn't seem at all alarmed. Either way, this underwhelming death doesn't hold a candle to some of his others.

Shock: 8/10

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
