Ranking April 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

6. Their Finest

Their Finest Gemma Arterton Bill Nighy

RottenTomatoes Score: 86% (7.1/10)

Box Office: On a surprisingly high $38 million budget, Lone Scherfig's latest has pulled in just $1.3 million worldwide. Not good.

Verdict: A very, very British film that benefits hugely from strong work by Gemma Arterton, Sam Claflin and especially Bill Nighy, Their Finest makes a compelling argument for the soul-stirring benefits of filmmaking, even if it's a little lacking in the emotional stakes.

It loses its way somewhat in act three with one totally unearned plot revelation, but as a historical document and rallying cry for feminism, it hits its markers rather well more often than not.
