Ranking August 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

6. The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 67% (6.2/10) Box Office: Made for a pricey $75 million, U.N.C.L.E. has yet to make its budget back after two weeks on release, and it's not exactly looking sunny for week three. It may crawl past its budget in the long run, but it's an undeniable bomb given the name actors and director. The Verdict: As stylistically elegant and flamboyant as you'd expect from a Guy Ritchie movie, this is an intermittently entertaining spy caper that benefits from entertaining performances, excellent cinematography and a number of individually uproarious moments, but it's also generically plotted, at least 20 minutes too long and just not very memorable at all. Yes, it features one immortal sequence involving a sandwich, but otherwise it's pure generic spy flick formula, resulting in a warmed-over final product that betrays the clear effort that the cast and crew have put into the movie. With a much stronger script, this had all the ingredients for a solid gold classic.
