Box Office: Costing a ludicrous $75 million, Winnie the Pooh's new live-action adventure is about to cross the $120 million mark. With a smaller budget this thing could've been a minor box office success, but now it's going to have to rely heavily on home video sales (which will probably be pretty decent, to be honest).

Verdict: A decidedly stranger and more surreal film than many were expecting, Christopher Robin is nevertheless bolstered by the disarming "real world" treatment of Pooh and his comrades, while playing off a typically enjoyable Ewan McGregor performance.

The visual effects and the vocal performances are the obvious stars of the show, and they certainly don't disappoint, ensuring the film is a sweetly affecting treat that pays solid service to the beloved material.
