Ranking August 2018's Movies From Worst To Best
4. To All The Boys I've Loved Before
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 95% (7.3/10)
Box Office: Straight to Netflix.
Verdict: Though the majority of teen comedies hitting Netflix these days are pretty middling, forgettable affairs, this adaptation of Jenny Han's 2014 novel is a charmingly offbeat rom-com that does just enough to stand out from the pack.
Much of the credit goes to lead Lana Condor - who played Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse - whose peppy performance anchors the film while steering it in a few unexpected directions.
Moreover, it's also an encouragingly diverse movie, and its success will hopefully prompt the streaming giant to invest more in genre films led by minority actors.
