Ranking December 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

4. Wonder

Wonder Jacob Tremblay
Lionsgate

RottenTomatoes Score: 85% (7.0/10)

Box Office: Produced on an impressively svelte $20 million, this drama based on a true story has just passed the $175 million mark, after shockingly tripling initial projections for its opening weekend. A great low-key hit for Lionsgate.

Verdict: A basic but well-executed drama that's driven hugely by its excellent central performances, especially Jacob Tremblay, Owen Wilson and Julia Roberts, Wonder knows exactly what it is and delivers sweetly affecting delights accordingly.

Above all else the film touts a great message for kids, but is also nuanced enough that adults will find it affecting and enjoyable. It's a little too long, but basically a well-wrought drama.
