Ranking Every Animated Batman Film From Worst To Best

9. Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusaders

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders was released in 2016 as a direct continuation of the classic Adam West TV series. And as a huge bonus, Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar all reprise their roles as Batman, Robin, and Catwoman, respectively.

Not only does it capture that authentic 60s Batman vibe, but it also manages to tell a pretty good story along the way. This film is very self-aware in the best possible way, in that it will take regular jabs at how silly the TV series was, but doesn't go overboard to the point where it's just digging itself into a hole. And at the end of the day, it's easily one of the most genuinely enjoyable Batman movies out there, animated or otherwise.

Plus, it's one of the films that will appeal to anyone, regardless of age. Kids will like how intentionally silly it can be, adults will get a kick out of the overt satire, and anyone familiar with the Adam West version of Batman will get a good laugh out of this feature.

This is a movie made for veteran Batman fans, plain and simple.
