Ranking Every Animated Batman Film From Worst To Best

5. The Lego Batman Movie

Whoever would have that that a toy tie-in film would ever rank this high? But that's just the way it worked out. Following the success of The Lego Movie in 2014, The Lego Batman Movie was released earlier this year and what else can be said about other than the fact that it's a genuinely fun movie for all ages?

Well, a lot, actually.

This is a movie that truly understands the character of Batman at his very core, arguably better than the vast majority of live-action films that have come out over the years. And it uses this understanding to tell a story that's silly and kid-friendly, but also one that anyone would find both compelling and heartwarming.

Plus, any Batman fan will get a kick out of the clever in-jokes peppered throughout the film about the rest of the franchise.

Will Arnett is a fairly solid Batman who captures the pseudo-serious tone of the movie in his voice acting. Plus, the rest of the hugely starry cast do a wonderful job as well and, in the end, it's an exceptionally entertaining film.
