Ranking: Every Batman Movie Final Battle From Worst To Best
2. Batman Begins (2005)
Alright, so everyone and their uncle has ripped on this movie's third act because of the microwave emitter plot hole (that it would kill anyone in the vicinity because the human body is mostly water), but if you're prepared to look past that, there's a lot to love here.
Ra's al Ghul's (Liam Neeson) marvelous villainy brings the best out of Neeson as he burns down Wayne Manor and disperses the fear toxin through the Narrows, resulting in some gnarly imagery (such as a fire-breathing horse and Batman soaring through the mist like a real bat) that's tough to shake.
The final close-quarters fight between Batman and Ra's is brutal and soaked in tension, and Batman's final quip to a wounded Ra's ("I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you") is a clever way to give Ra's a bada** demise without totally breaking Batman's rule (even if some would argue it totally still does).
In terms of Nolan's trilogy, this is much, much tighter and more concise than TDKR's finale, at least if you can look past that gaping hole in scientific logic.
