Ranking Every DC Comic Book Movie From Worst To Best

10. V For Vendetta

DC Movies
Warner Bros.

Alan Moore might not be a fan of it, but V For Vendetta does have a lot going for it: the acting is great, the interest levels never dip beyond solid entertainment and the message of anarchy in the face of totalitarian control is particularly pertinent. It's just a shame the script really isn't up to much.

V gets by a lot on the immediate iconic status of its anti-hero V - with Hugo Weaving dutifully remaining under the mask for the entire film (which James Purefoy couldn't do). And it helps that director James McTeigue manages to show far more flair and aptitude for creating an aesthetic than he's managed in any of his projects since.

It's a controversial movie, sure, but it has appeal for the entire intellectual spectrum and it's a satisfying experience even when the Wachowskis' script is at its worst.
