Ranking Every Disney Animated Movie From Worst To Best!
21. The Great Mouse Detective (1986)
Speaking of "underrated", The Great Mouse Detective is... well, great.
Firstly, the main character, Basil of Baker Street, is one of Disney's most charismatic characters ever. He is so impressively brilliant and talented that he genuinely makes you want to be smarter. And his counterpart, Ratigan, is played expertly by horror legend Vincent Price. Their dynamic is awesome, too; they're ultimately just two massive egos wanting to outdo the other. And who could forget their fight inside of Big Ben? It's just fantastic, especially for 1986.
And sure, some of the scenes are a little generic or run a little long, but overall, this is a thoroughly enjoyable movie.
