Ranking Every Disney Animated Movie From Worst To Best!
13. Treasure Planet (2002)
Treasure Planet was a colossal box office failure. Despite being the most expensive traditionally-animated film ever made at $140 million, it only managed to rake in $109 million, mostly because it was barely advertised and also released around the same time as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
This is a shame because, beyond a doubt, this is the most underrated Disney film ever made.
The relationship between the protagonist (Jim Hawkins) and the antagonist (John Silver) is so wholesome and unlike anything Disney has ever done. The overall aesthetic is excellent, too. The CGI is a massive improvement from Atlantis: The Lost Empire from a year prior.
Literally, the only thing bad about this movie is that annoying robot B.E.N., but he's not in the movie long enough to make too much of a difference.
