Ranking Every Disney Princess From Worst To Best
7. Jasmine - Aladdin
A groundbreaking Disney princess, Jasmine definitely possesses some of the strongest willpower of any on this list.
Throughout the movie, Jasmine is never afraid to speak out against the old-world laws of Agrabah that dictate that she is a "prize to be won". Setting the stage for Pocahontas, she routinely rejects the suitors that her father chooses for her, preferring instead to marry based on love rather than on social status.
What sets Jasmine apart from Pocahontas, though, is that her love for Aladdin is born not from physical appearance (well, at least not exclusively...), but from genuine sympathy for the poor and hungry people living in her kingdom. Her commiseration for the destitute largely contrasts with her upbringing as a royal, making her a far more layered character than her spiritual successor.
That being said, she is a bit too lenient with Aladdin's antics. In spite of his obvious attempts to deceive her into falling for him, she still goes through with it all, which kind of goes against her no-nonsense demeanor that she'd so effectively constructed in the beginning.
To be fair, Aladdin could've simply not lied to her about his identity, but still.
