Ranking Every James Bond Film - From Worst To Best
11. Tomorrow Never Dies
Probably the one on this list that will raise the most eyebrows for being ranked so high, Tomorrow Never Dies is, to my mind, the most underrated Bond film. But, Pierce Brosnan's second outing as 007 is full of classic Bond moments; ones that should be cited more often but aren't. The central premise of a mad media mogul (Jonathan Pryce) with ties to global warfare is a great starting point for the film, and Tomorrow Never Dies only grows stronger from there: Terri Hatcher's small but touching turn as the necessary minor Bond Girl is severely dark, and the sight of Brosnan stroking her dead body (she commits suicide) on the bed is one of the franchise's more tender moments. Elsewhere, there's a fantastic motorbike-come-helicopter chase through the streets of Saigon, and a Greatest in the Series contender in relation to Bond and his car, which he controls via mobile while lying on its back seat. The film isn't without its flaws (main Henchman Stamper is far too prevalent), but for the most part its a thrilling, fresh entry into the series, marking Brosnan's high point as Bond after his inaugural turn in Goldeneye.
