Ranking Every James Bond Film - From Worst To Best
23. Die Another Day
One of those I adored as an 11-year-old seeing it at the cinema - which I duly did three or four times but grew to find hilarious, for all the wrong reasons, with time. Probably the most maligned Bond film ever, Die Another Day kicks into the most ridiculous realm of stupidity after what is actually a promising pre-credits sequence of Bond being captured and tortured. From there though its Madonnas awful title song, followed by invisible cars, men resurrected as other men (or something), satellites that can turn the sun into a laser beam (or something), and robot suits that can do something or other. The great Pierce Brosnans last outing as Bond deserved better than this, and Die Another Day effectively killed Bond as a franchise, forcing the next instalment, Casino Royale, to reinvent Bond for 21st century audiences tired of the series incessant gimmickry.
