Ranking EVERY James Bond Henchman From Worst To Best
40. Patrice (Skyfall, 2012)
Or, the pest who survives Skyfall's action-packed opening scenes only to be dropped off a neon Shanghai tower after a colourful fight that could almost pass for one of the famous 007 title sequences.
Patrice is the one who James Bond is ultimately pursuing in the film's rip-roaring Istanbul opening, with the pair brawling on top of a speeding train before 007 is hit by a wayward shot from Moneypenny's rifle.
As the deliverer of a hard drive containing the identities of British undercover agents to the ruthless hands of Raoul Silva, Patrice is a man whom MI6 can't afford to let slip away. That's why Bond later tails him to Shanghai, where the two do battle once again as silhouettes amidst a gorgeously framed backdrop.
Here's the problem with Patrice; it's not him that's remembered, it's the unforgettable action sequences he's involved in. He's not Patrice - he's "the guy Bond fights on the train" and "the bloke at the Shanghai tower." Even if he fell from the peak in dramatic slow-motion, Hans Gruber-style, you'd be hard-pressed to bring Patrice's face to mind.
But wow, was that Shanghai fight cool or what?!
