Ranking EVERY James Bond Henchman From Worst To Best

13. Gobinda (Octopussy, 1983)

Tee Hee James Bond

It's a good thing Bond didn't make his "That'll keep you in curry" gag around this humourless slab of stone - you can bet your bottom rupee that Gobinda wouldn't appreciate it.

Much like the rest of him, the hulking henchman's scowl appears almost carved from solid rock - and he seems to spend the bulk of Octopussy's runtime seething at 007 and his incessant humour. Gobinda reacts with fisticuff-brandishing fury at any sign of silliness from the smirking spy.

He's not content to merely wipe the wry smile off of Bond's face, however. His role as Kamal Khan's right-hand man provides him with the perfect means to wage war against all wry smiles... everywhere.

With a dash of Oddjob, a dollop of Jaws, and a sprinkle of the film's exotic Indian locale, the turban-clad titan has no issue whatsoever doling out death to anyone and everyone that Khan deems deserving... and one suspects that even so much as a knock-knock joke would seal your fate if Gobinda had it his way.

In fact, the only time this dice destroyer shows any emotion other than steaming rage is the unease of being commanded to pursue Bond on top of a plane in mid-flight - and for good reason. As it turns out, Gobinda flies as well as a ferret.

Chest thumping James Bond and Haruki Murakami fanatic living in China. Once had a fever dream about riding a rowboat with Davos Seaworth. He hasn't updated this section since Game of Thrones was cool, and boy does it show.
