Ranking Every Jim Carrey Movie Worst To Best
13. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013)
The long-awaited Anchorman sequel may have fallen short of the original's iconic majesty and suffers from a shamelessly bloated runtime, but it's nevertheless a warm-hearted return to these beloved characters.
Carrey is of course in the film for mere moments in cameo form - appearing alongside Marion Cotillard as a polite Canadian news reporter getting involved in the climactic battle - but steals the film for a few key seconds.
As belated comedy sequels go, this was totally rock solid, even if it didn't match the highs of its predecessor.
12. Me, Myself & Irene (2000)
Carrey's bonkers re-team with the Farrelly brothers is one of the edgier comedies of the actor's career - and a damn successful one at that.
Yes, it's too long and not every gag totally works, but Carrey's commitment to the role of a pushover cop afflicted with disassociative identity disorder ensures easy laughs.
He's aided by a solid ensemble cast, including Renée Zellweger, Chris Cooper, Robert Forster, Richard Jenkins, and Anthony Anderson, who gamely hurl themselves into the cartoonish yet strangely sweet central caper.
Carrey has had better flirtations with black comedy, but this is still a left-field effort for a mainstream studio comedy.
