Ranking Every Keanu Reeves Movie Worst To Best
66. The Prince Of Pennsylvania (1988)
A prototypically "quirky" indie that's ultimately more obnoxious than charming, The Prince of Pennsylvania wastes a game, well-cast Reeves as an oddball teenager seeking out a better life for himself.
Epic tonal shifts abound in the second half, and the screenplay simply lacks the deft-handedness to make it work. Not completely worthless, but also lacking in the execution.
65. Johnny Mnemonic (1995)
Several years before he became a sci-fi action icon in The Matrix, Reeves starred in an adaptation of William Gibson's short story "Johnny Mnemonic," which despite being adapted to the screen by Gibson himself, is a confused mess of ideas both interesting and half-baked.
Though it seemed virtually incomprehensible in 1995, the film feels shockingly ahead of its time when watched today, despite falling prey to most of the pitfalls befalling similar tech-focused mid-90s movies.
Keanu is a sheer block of wood throughout, though, it has to be said, and scooped his second Razzie nod as a result.
