Ranking Every Magnificent Seven Character From Worst To Best

8. Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio)

The Magnificent Seven
Sony Pictures

Sure to be the most divisive of all the main characters in this movie, Jack Horne is a bear-like tracker with an idiosyncratic speech pattern and predilection for mumbling at his comrades whether they're listening or not.

Horne's enormous strength gives him a number of entertaining moments and a bunch of his one-liners land well ("She sure did do a lot of poking and sticking for you, so maybe she wants you to repay the favour"), but D'Onofrio's performance is all over the place and falls flat almost as often as it works.

Plus, he got the most stereotypical death imaginable for a man of his size, arrowed repeatedly by Bogue's Comanche pal Denali (Jonathan Joss) until he couldn't take anymore.

In short, a love or hate character from top to bottom.
