Nebula is, of course, Thanos' adopted daughter and a cybernetic assassin, played with savage menace by the lovely Karen Gillan.

She's a fierce physical threat but also has a huge chip on her shoulder about being adopted, believing her sister Gamora to be Thanos' "favourite".

Her hatred for her father and general lack of loyalty to anyone but herself makes her an incredibly unpredictable, dangerous character (such as when she abandoned Ronan at the first sign of trouble).

Plus she's got an awesome look, is extremely adept in combat situations and her cybernetic enhancements allow her to withstand a frankly ridiculous amount of punishment. What's not to like?
