5. Iron Man Vs. Aldrich Killian (Iron Man 3)
Stark and Rhodes interrupt Aldrich Killian's attempt to give President Ellis a "Viking funeral", calling in a fleet of Iron Man suits to take down the Extremis soldiers.
It's great fun seeing the sheer insane variety of new Iron Man suits, even if the eventual Killian-Iron Man fight feels like it takes a backseat as a result.
Tony slices Killian's arm off, but of course, he's the "real Mandarin", so it just regenerates. Cue a brief battle before Killian is sealed inside an Iron Man suit and detonated, but he returns, only to be obliterated by Pepper, who uses her new Extremis powers and an Iron Man glove to blow Killian to Hell.
Rating: The actual climactic showdown is just OK, but the Iron Man showcase is terrific, and Shane Black imbues it all with some superb sprinkles of his signature wit and humour. 7/10
