Ranking Every Nicolas Cage Movie Worst To Best
25. It Could Happen To You (1994)
This delightfully charming romantic dramedy, loosely based on a real-life incident no less, casts Cage as a kindly NYPD cop who, rather than tip his waitress (Bridget Fonda), agrees to split his lottery ticket with her, which ends up being a $4 million winner.
It's easy to imagine how this cutesy setup could've turned into a saccharine disaster, but thanks to the easy chemistry between Cage and Fonda, it's never less than a heart-warming romance.
24. Lord Of War (2005)
Another criminally underrated Nic Cage movie - and performance! - abounds in Andrew Niccol's savage takedown of the global arms trade, Lord of War.
Tough though it is to accept Jared Leto as Cage's younger brother, the film matches its sharp style with a smart, witty script, all of which is abetted by Cage's deliciously charismatic performance.
It never quite gets better than that opening credits sequence, though.
