Ranking Every Nicolas Cage Movie Worst To Best
7. Mandy (2018)
Surely the most purely Nic Cage Nic Cage film of the last few years, Mandy seals the actor inside a neon-soaked, acid-tipped nightmare and lets him have at it.
A gorgeous slow-burn of a horror film led by Cage's impeccable performance, a killer musical score, and lashings of uproarious violence, Mandy earns its slow pace through a gradual, continual upping of the stakes - and the mayhem.
There is nothing quite like it.
6. Raising Arizona (1987)
The Coen brothers' second film remains one of their most beloved to date, an extremely charming crime comedy starring Cage and Holly Hunter as a married, childless couple who steal a baby and end up on quite the merry chase.
While this is a decidedly broader effort tonally than most subsequent Coen joints, it's no less intelligent as a piece of filmmaking craft, abetted by knowingly OTT turns from Cage and Hunter.
