Ranking EVERY Version Of The Punisher From Worst To Best

For a long time, this was seen as the definitive version of The Punisher, and it's not hard to see why. Graphically violent and with a body count that John Woo would be proud of, War Zone set out to prove that it was not a sequel to the 2004 movie, but a full on, blood soaked reboot.

This Frank Castle doesn't want you to feel sorry for him, even though at times you do, this Castle just wants to kill people in the most imaginative ways he can think of.

After crashing a mob party, killing an undercover cop and throwing Billy Russoti into a glass crusher, thereby creating Jigsaw, his guilty conscious almost gets the better of him as he contemplates hanging up the guns once and for all. This crisis of confidence is done away with after it's pointed out that Jigsaw will go after an undercover cop's family as revenge. What follows is Frank Castle doing what he does best - murdering the hell out of everybody.

Ray Stevenson's portrayal isn't Shakespearean by any stretch of the imagination but it is more than serviceable for a guy whose main hobbies include slitting people from ear to ear.

And sometimes, that's all you want from your Punisher.
