RottenTomatoes Score: 53% (5.7/10 average) Box Office: Budgetary and box office information isn't available because both are so scant, but the movie will no doubt find a home with Adam Green's fans on VOD and home video. Proof that not all horror flicks released in the graveyard period of the year are created equal, Digging Up the Marrow is an entertaining if flawed mockumentary horror flick. Considering that Green stars as himself and spends much of the movie talking about his own career, it absolutely smacks of a navel-gazing vanity project, but it's also genuinely involving and quietly suspenseful. Ray Wise is largely the reason why the movie works, playing a crazy old guy who encourages the filmmakers to flirt with supernatural evil, and though there was certainly a better film possible, for an almost no-budget effort, it's not half bad at all.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
