Ranking February 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

17. Father Figures

Bastards Ed Helms Owen Wilson
Warner Bros.

RottenTomatoes Score: 22% (3.6/10)

Box Office: Dumped in U.S. cinemas last Christmas and given a limited U.K. release on Valentine's weekend, the $25 million Owen Wilson and Ed Helms-starring comedy has grossed a pitiful $23 million to date. It's pure VOD fodder if you've ever seen it.

Verdict: The definition of a forgettable yet fairly harmless studio comedy, Father Figures wears its heart on its sleeve to the expense of laughs, but it's easy, undemanding viewing with a few decent chuckles and a great cast - including J.K. Simmons, Glenn Close and Christopher Walken - that it clearly doesn't deserve.

It's perfect viewing if you're tired or hungover, really, and you'll probably stumble across it on Netflix in a few years without even remembering you ever saw it.
