Ranking February 2019's Movies From Worst To Best

4. High Flying Bird

Netflix

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 93% (7.46/10)

Box Office: Direct to Netflix.

Verdict: Steven Soderbergh continues to deliver some of the most interesting work of his career even as he insists that he's basically "retired."

Shot on an iPhone for a shoestring budget, this deliciously witty sports drama about an agent (Andre Holland) trying to change the way basketball is played during a labour strike is fascinating regardless of whether you're an NBA fan or not.

Accessible while refusing to talk down to its audience, High Flying Bird is girded by its crackling wit, superb cast - Zazie Beetz is great as usual - and acidic indictment of the NBA's more eyebrow-raising business practices.
