Ranking Green Lantern Actor Shortlist From Worst To Best

4. Tom Cruise

Armie Hammer Green Lantern
Paramount

Tom Cruise will be in his late-fifties by the time filming kicks off, which is really pushing it even with his insane youthfulness.

Perhaps if Warner are opting for an older mentor take on the Hal Jordan character then this could work, and you certainly can't fault Cruise's commitment to just about every part he takes these days.

Even if the movie ends up sucking, you know he won't, so he gets a qualified thumbs up because he's not exactly one of the first names to spring to mind.

How Likely Is It?: Not at all. Cruise will be kept busy with The Mummy as he attempts to spearhead the Universal Monsters universe and in addition will keep pumping out Mission: Impossible movies for as long as humanly possible.

Warner Bros. would be lucky to have someone so talented and all-in, but it's just hard to imagine this going down. 4/10
