Ranking Jackie Chan’s Boss Fights

Drunken Master? Dragons Forever? City Hunter? Only one can take the top spot.

Nobody goes to a Jackie Chan film to see Oscar-worthy acting or writing. People are far more interested in the many ways Jackie can put his body on the line, both in the name of entertainment and for his incredibly creative battle royales which are second to none. But what about his one-on-one showdowns?
Whilst he may be the world's most lethal man if left in a Home Depot and a platoon of henchmen, Jackie has also had his fair share of mano a mano fights with numerous leading practitioners in one or more forms of martial arts. Just as how Jackie's crazy stunts are always jaw-dropping to watch and his inventive group battles are always entertaining, his one-on-one encounters will always thrill and excite any viewers due to their intensity, intricate choreography, the physical acrobatic displays and the flashes of pure martial arts mastery. So, here's a list that ranks Jackie's best one-on-one fights during the earlier stages of his career. Let us know in the comments which you agree with, if there are any we missed, and who you'd love to see Jackie fight in one of his future films!

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
