Ranking January 2016's Movies From Worst To Best

7. Monster Hunt

RottenTomatoes Score: 60% (5.8/10) Box Office: The $56 million Chinese 3D adventure film has grossed an impressive $385.2 million to date, making it China's highest-grossing film, even though there has been a measure of controversy about whether or not ticket sales had been fraudulently inflated. Verdict: A simple, easy-to-watch action adventure aimed at children, Monster Hunt doesn't really get many points for originality or intelligence (it's about a war between men and humans, surprise, surprise), but it moves fast, refusing to stay anywhere for too long, and certainly boasting a solid action quotient. Sure, the CGI is really rough considering the budget and western audiences might find it to goofy, but it's a gleefully silly, enjoyable production all the same.
