Ranking January 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

16. Underworld: Blood Wars

Split XXx 3 La La Land
Screen Gems

RottenTomatoes Score: 17% (3.8/10)

Box Office: The fifth entry into the surprisingly enduring Underworld franchise continued to prove its box office strength, grossing more than double its $35 million budget to date.

It may have performed substantially less well than 2012's predecessor, Awakening, but it also had half the budget of that movie, so it's certainly not bad.

Verdict: Well, it's not as bad as the last one, that's for sure. Blood Wars may be a mostly unimaginative follow-up that coasts on Kate Beckinsale's inherent appeal in skin-tight PVC, but at least some of the action is campy fun and the visual effects aren't as horrendous as the last film.

Forgettable, but mostly inoffensive.
