Ranking July 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

1. Amy

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 97% (8.5/10) Box Office: Budgeted at $3.1 million, Amy has made $9.1 million at the limited box office so far, again proving the commercial viability of a potent, attention-grabbing documentary. The Verdict: Asif Kapadia (Senna) delivers another astute, exceptionally well-edited examination of a life snuffed out far too soon, a warts-and-all biography of Amy Winehouse that simultaneously admits her artistic genius and unfortunate personal woes. Much like Senna, this very much feels like the complete word on Amy's life, combining never-before-seen footage with almost uncomfortably revealing interviews from those who knew her. Whether you're a fan of her music or not, as a mere look at a fascinating life ended prematurely, it's an exemplary documentary and should merit Academy Award consideration next year.
