Ranking July 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

2. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 93% (7.5/10) Box Office: The fifth Mission: Impossible film is tracking to pull in around $40 million in its opening weekend, a relatively soft opening for the series, which is surprising given how significantly the previous film, Ghost Protocol, appeared to reinvigorate the franchise. Strong word of mouth could easily push it to $50 million and beyond, though. The Verdict: Though most critics agree that Rogue Nation doesn't quite reach the highs of the last film, it's nevertheless a thrilling spy romp full of the ridiculous set-pieces and entertaining banter that audiences expect. Of particular praise is the addition of sexy new cast member Rebecca Ferguson, and Tom Cruise's mind-boggling commitment to placing himself in harm's way during the (mostly practical) action sequences. Plotting isn't a huge consideration here, but Rogue Nation is still one of the summer's best films and ensures that the M:I brand won't be dying a death any time soon.
