Ranking July 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

19. How It Ends

RottenTomatoes Score: 17% (2.9/10)

Box Office: Straight-to-Netflix.

Verdict: The latest in a long line of woefully undercooked sci-fi movies from Netflix, How it Ends benefits from a solid Forest Whitaker performance and some surprisingly sharp visuals, but it's about half-an-hour too long, it's rife with cliches, and the ending is, well, awful.

Lead Theo James is really trying here, but he fails to be much of a compelling lead, and for as competently assembled as the film is from a visual perspective, the script is an utter bore.

There's certainly potential in a disaster movie depicting how society deals with a loss of electricity, but this sadly falls massively far of the mark.
