Ranking June 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

10. Big Game

RottenTomatoes Score: 71% (5.9/10) Box Office: On a $9 million budget, Big Game has grossed $4.6 million through international releases to date, though the highly limited U.S. release likely won't add much to that total. The Verdict: Rare Exports director Jalmari Helander delivers one of the most bizarre and entertaining B-movies of the year, a riotously enjoyable action film about the bond between the President of the United States (Samuel L. Jackson) and a young Finnish boy (Onni Tommila) after Air Force One is shot down in the country's wilderness. The film doesn't take itself one iota too seriously, but even so, the characterisation is strong throughout and there's a wholly unexpected sweetness to the buddy element of the movie, with Jackson delivering one of his better recent performances. Gorgeously shot and consistently hilarious, this is a fine-tuned genre entertainment that doesn't outstay its welcome.
