Ranking June 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

8. Jurassic World

RottenTomatoes Score: 71% (6.7/10) Box Office: Jurassic World has taken the box office by storm over the last two weeks, breaking countless records and becoming the fastest movie to cross the $1 billion mark in cinema history. Projections have it chugging along nicely until it inevitably takes over Furious 7 to become the third highest-grossing movie of all time, giving Star Wars: The Force Awakens some sure competition for the highest-grossing movie of the year. The Verdict: There's a strong case to be made that Jurassic World should've been a lot better than it ended up being: there's rampant product placement, outdated sexism, a B-movie plot and simply not enough to make this long-delayed sequel hold a candle to the original movie. However, as a brainless action film, it does deliver the thrills and spills audiences expect, and easily outdoes the two previous sequels. So, yes, a success, but Colin Trevorrow and his crew really should've tried harder with this one.
