Ranking June 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

16. The House

The House Amy Poehler Will Ferrell
Warner Bros.

RottenTomatoes Score: 16% (3.4/10)

Box Office: Will Ferrell's latest suffered one of the worst openings of the actor's career, pulling in just $11.7 million in its first weekend, only barely 25% of its $40 million budget. Ouch.

Verdict: Ferrell and Amy Poehler are thoroughly wasted in this incredibly underwhelming effort, which fails to mine the satirical potential of its premise, and serves up big laughs only occasionally.

Jason Mantzoukas is a lot of fun and Jeremy Renner's cameo is pretty amusing, but overall this is just intensely, aggressively forgettable, and it's not surprising that audiences are going to wait until they can stream it in a few months' time rather than catch it in cinemas.
