Ranking March 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

2. Spring

RottenTomatoes Score: 92% (7.6/10 average) Box Office: Though not quite as micro-budget as their earlier features, Spring was still a relatively cheap affair, and in 12 cinemas has taken just $19,675, alongside a pervasive VOD release. The Verdict: Writer-director team Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead do a splendid job putting conventional genres in a blender with this riveting sci-fi horror romance starring Lou Taylor Pucci as a young man trying to get away from it all in Italy, when he comes across a beautiful young woman (Nadia Hilker) with a deep, dark secret. Beautifully shot, superbly acted and focusing more on character development than on its (admittedly still rather grotesque) special effects, Spring is a low-budget indie horror done right: give it the support it deserves.
