Ranking March 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

16. Do You Believe?

RottenTomatoes Score: 14% (3.8/10 average) Box Office: Budgetary information is tough to come by, but it's been said to have cost more than God's Not Dead's $2 million (probably around the $3 million mark), and to date has made $4.3 million in the U.S. Compared to the aforementioned effort (which made $62.6 million), it's a financial bust, but once it's sold to Christian TV networks around the world, it'll do just fine. The Verdict: These Christian dramas are always a tough proposition with audiences aren't religious, but critics of all faiths didn't take too kindly to the pic's pontificating, labeling it "deranged", "self-aggrandizing" and "as subtle as a sledgehammer to the toes". Do You Believe? is another in a seemingly increasing line of preachy, self-righteous religious pics which might come across as patronising to even the most hardcore quarters of its target audience. Even with name actors like Sean Astin, Oscar winner Mira Sorvino and Golden Globe winner Cybill Shepherd, it's sickly faith drama at its most effortless and irritating.
