Ranking March 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

17. Unfinished Business

RottenTomatoes Score: 12% (3.6/10 average) Box Office: With a mid-range $35 million budget, the movie has grossed a shockingly low $13.4 million to date, having been on release for three weeks. This makes it the lowest grossing starring role of Vaughn's career, beating the record set by his 2013 release Delivery Man, which at least managed to make roughly double its budget back. Not so lucky here, though. The Verdict: Vince Vaughn plays the absolute same character he's been playing for what feels like several decades now in this comedy about a businessman and his two new recruits, and the script somehow feels even more stale than the star's stock protagonist. Vaughn and co-stars Dave Franco and Tom Wilkinson (easily the best thing in it) never really stood a chance here, because there's just nothing interesting or particularly funny going on: the sentimental family subplot is lame and disingenuous, while there just aren't enough crazy situations to give it the nervous energy of something like The Hangover, which it is clearly trying to ape. More than anything, it's just a shockingly lazy film.
