Ranking March 2018's Movies From Worst To Best
13. Benji
RottenTomatoes Score: 60% (5.5/10)
Box Office: Straight to Netflix.
Verdict: This quasi-remake of the classic 1974 family film knows exactly what it is and delivers accordingly. Written and directed by Brandon Camp, the son of the original movie's director Joe Camp, there's a thorough affection for the 1974 movie throughout this sweet, easy-to-watch retooling.
The titular dog is the star of the show, of course, and the human characters take a sensible back-seat, while it hits the right buttons for inoffensively family-friendly fare. Benji doesn't waste its time and should do well with dog lovers the world over as simple, no-frills entertainment.
